Julie Vanloo spent four seasons in Waregem, from 2009 to 2013.

The years afterwards went in a different direction. The club, then playing as Declercq Stortbeton Waregem and founded in 1988, won the Belgian Second Division in 2014 and again in 2016. Sporthal De Treffer, a hall with room for 1,000 people, was where both promotions were celebrated.

By 2018 the problem was keeping a women's team in the top division at all. Declercq Stortbeton Waregem merged with Bent Schoenen Waregem. It plays as G&V Breakpoint Basket Waregem. The club has no nickname of its own, and the town's football side, Zulte Waregem, already has "De Eendenvangers".

Marjorie Carpréaux was on the roster in 2018, the year of the FIBA World Cup. The nearest derby is against Kortrijk Spurs, the other West Flemish side. In the Top Division Women the tougher tests come from Castors Braine and Basket Namur Capitale.

The Belgian Cup is the one prize Waregem has never won.
