Aleksandr Soika

Alexandr Sojka made his senior international debut in May 2026, coming on in a friendly against Kosovo.

Sojka came through SK Klatovy before joining Viktoria Plzeň's youth ranks, and he broke into the senior squad in 2021. Rather than pushing straight into the first team, the club sent him out to gain experience at FC Silon Táborsko, where a two-year loan produced 38 league appearances and three goals. Back at Plzeň for the 2024/2025 season, he started regularly, playing 32 league matches and scoring twice.

His path then took an unexpected turn: in the summer of 2025 he left on a permanent transfer to Hradec Králové, where he made 18 league appearances and scored once. The stay was brief. Plzeň triggered a buy-back clause in January 2026, and Sojka returned to the club where his career began.

At youth international level, he was capped twice for the Czech Republic under-16s and seven times at under-21 level, and he was part of the squad at the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. By June 2026, that development had translated into five senior caps, with his performance against South Africa earning an 8.4 rating from Goal Index.
