About the player
Born in Coventry, he came through Coventry City's youth ranks before Manchester United's academy took him on in 2017, and he spent four years working through United's age-group sides before Rangers signed him in July 2021 for a fee reported to rise to £750,000.
McCann left Forest Green by mutual consent in August 2025 and signed for Barrow as a free agent the following month. One goal stood out: a volleyed opener against Newport County, though Barrow went on to lose that game 2-1.
Internationally, McCann represents Northern Ireland. He was called up to the senior squad in June 2022 but has not yet won a cap at that level, having instead built up five appearances for the Northern Ireland under-21s.
