Kelvin Amian

Kelvin Amian came through the Toulouse academy after starting out at Balma SC, and it was at Toulouse FC that he made his name, working his way from the club's B side into a regular starting berth in Ligue 1. The step up to a bigger stage came in July 2021, when Spezia paid a reported fee in the region of €3.2-3.5 million to take him to Italy, where he spent close to three seasons across Serie A and Serie B.

In January 2024, Nantes brought him back to France for a similar fee, around €3.0-3.5 million, and he has made 75 appearances for Nantes in total, the majority of them in Ligue 1, with a goal and an assist to his name, and he continued in that role through the club's relegation to Ligue 2.

Amian's development was shaped by a strong run through France's youth ranks. He collected caps at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level before moving up to the Under-21s, where he made 18 appearances and scored once between 2017 and 2019. His standout moment with the youth sides came with the Under-19s, who were crowned champions of Europe in the 2016 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. He has yet to add senior international recognition to that record.

Primarily a right-back who can also fill in at centre-back, a pattern that has held from his Toulouse days through to his current spell at Nantes.
