About the player
Kjetil Haug came up through Manchester City's academy, part of the side beaten in the final of the FA Youth Cup in 2015, before returning to Norway to make his senior debut at Sogndal in 2018 on a free transfer. Loan spells at Elverum and Vålerenga followed within a year, and by mid-2019 he had joined Vålerenga on a permanent three-year deal.
In June 2022 he moved to Toulouse. He was sent out on loan — first to Sarpsborg 08 in 2023, then to Bodø/Glimt and Odd in 2024. Even so, he was part of the squad when Toulouse won the Coupe de France in the 2022–23 season.
Haug represented Norway at every youth level from the under-15s through to the under-21s. In May 2026 he agreed a three-year contract with Go Ahead Eagles on a free transfer, closing his time in France and opening a new stage in the Netherlands.
