About the player
Lucas Perrin came through Marseille's academy, progressing from the reserve side into the first team, where he made 11 appearances for the senior side between 2019 and 2022. The move that shaped his career came in July 2021, when he joined RC Strasbourg Alsace on loan with an obligation to buy; the deal became permanent the following May for a fee of around €1.5 million. He went on to make 91 appearances for the Alsace club before leaving in August 2024.
A free transfer took him to Hamburger SV that same month, limited to six appearances. In January 2025 he moved on loan to Cercle Brugge, playing 12 matches and scoring twice. His contract with Hamburg was subsequently rescinded, and in July 2025 he signed for Sporting Gijón on a free transfer, wearing the number four shirt. He became a regular fixture in Gijón's defence, making 24 appearances and scoring two goals in the 2025–2026 season, form that led to a free transfer to FC Nantes the following July.
Perrin also has a cap for the France under-16 team, dating back to 2013.
