Three Second Division titles sit in the record: the first came in 1968-69, and the next two only in 2015 and 2018.
In 1971 shirts arrived from England, donated by West Ham United captain Bobby Moore and by the Paneru brothers, and the maroon and sky blue stayed. Vissini — the cherry-reds — comes from that.
Mihalis Konstantinou finished top scorer in the Cypriot championship in 1996-97 and went on to become the leading scorer in the history of the Cyprus national team. Petar Miloševski, the goalkeeper from North Macedonia, played 131 matches for the club; he died in 2014.
Dimitris Christofi's move to Omonia in 2008, for around a million euros, was the largest fee Cypriot football had recorded to that point.
