The Campeonato Goiano Sub-20 is the official state youth football championship for players under 20 in Goiás, Brazil. Organized by the Federação Goiana de Futebol (FGF), the tournament was officially founded in 2003, marking the start of the modern, officially documented era recognized by the FGF. The competition sits outside the professional pyramid as a 'categoria de base' (youth category).
The current format involves 12 teams playing a single round-robin group stage. The top eight teams advance to a knockout stage consisting of quarterfinals, semifinals, and a final, all played in a two-legged home-and-away format. The bottom two teams are eliminated, with the last place facing automatic relegation to the Segunda Divisão Sub-20. Additionally, a playoff for relegation is held between the 10th and 11th placed teams if the point difference is six points or fewer.
Goiás Esporte Clube is the most successful club, with 11 titles. Vila Nova FC is the second most successful with 6 titles. Trindade Atlético Clube has 2 titles. Atlético Goianiense has 1 title. Goiânia has 1 title. The 2020 edition was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2025 champion was Trindade, who defeated Guanabara City.
The tournament serves as a qualifier for national youth competitions: the champion qualifies for the Copa do Brasil Sub-20, while both finalists qualify for the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. The competition is distinct from the professional Campeonato Goiano, focusing exclusively on player development and qualification for national youth cups.
