Founded on 15 June 2005, Tacão took the Campeonato Goiano Terceira Divisão that same year and later won promotion twice through the Segunda Divisão, in 2006 and 2013.

It is in the youth categories that Trindade has made its name. The club won the Campeonato Goiano Sub-20 in 2016 and again in 2025, and added the Sub-17 title in 2019. Wenderson Galeno, known as Galeno, came through Trindade between 2014 and 2016 before his move to FC Porto and, later, Al-Ahli, and in 2024 he was called up to the Brazilian national team.

The Estádio Abrão Manoel da Costa, holding 4,000 spectators, has been the stage for Trindade's local derby against Santa Helena Esporte Clube, a fixture supporters simply call Trindade x Santa Helena, alongside long-standing rivalries with Anapolina and Anápolis. White, blue and red run through the club's shirts, earning it the alternate name Tricolor among its own supporters.
