Sloga defeated Borac Zemun 99 to 87 in the First League on 18 October 2026, moving further clear in fourth place while the hosts remain stuck in seventh. To be fair, both sides had played 30 games already, but the gap between them had widened since April when they met at the same venue. Sloga had lost just 10 of those matches, while Borac Zemun could count 16 defeats and only 14 victories.
By then the visitors had already shown they could score freely, beating KK Tamis Pančevo 99 to 95 on their last outing before this one. Borac Zemun had won at home against the same opposition but then dropped points away to Čačak 94, losing 81 to 84. The hosts had not won in three of their last five games, which was perhaps the first sign that their form was slipping.
Sloga had beaten Borac Zemun 96 to 89 when the two sides last met on 25 April, and they had nothing to do all evening this time around. The away side found a way through the home defence again and kept the scoreboard ticking over. Borac Zemun had thrown everything at it but simply could not match the visitors' rhythm.
We had given a prediction that the home side would win, with a confidence of 54 per cent, but the match went another way. By the time the final whistle blew it was clear that Sloga had too much for them. The gap between the teams had been visible in the way the visitors controlled the tempo from the opening minutes.
The result leaves Sloga four places above Borac Zemun in the table, with 20 wins against 14 for the hosts. The visitors have now extended their comfortable position in the upper half of the standings, while the home side's hopes of climbing further have dimmed.
