Zenit Women secure comfortable victory over Dynamo Moscow
Zenit Women moved further clear at the top of the Vysshaya Liga with a comfortable 3-0 win against Dynamo Moscow. The encounter, played on Saturday, 19 September, ended with the hosts controlling the tempo from the opening whistle. Dynamo struggled to find a rhythm against a Zenit side that had already won 16 of their 18 league games.
By then, the pressure had begun to tell on the Dynamo defence, and the host team broke the deadlock in the 26th minute. To be fair, the breakthrough felt inevitable given Zenit’s recent form, including three consecutive clean sheets. For Zenit, it was another step towards securing the title, extending their unbeaten run to 18 matches. Dynamo will need to regroup quickly if they hope to climb back into the upper half of the standings. The hosts ground out the win with efficiency, leaving little room for doubt about the quality difference.
