Rubin Kazan

The players who first pulled on Rubin's ruby shirt in 2021 were joining a set-up that barely existed a year earlier: the women's side began life as a section grafted onto the men's club, taking its name, colours and badge straight from the senior team rather than building an identity of its own.

Founded on 19 January 2021, the club went straight into the Superleague, Russia's top division for women's football, finishing 10th in its debut campaign and reaching the Russian Cup quarter-final that same year. It has held its place in the top flight every season since, through to 2025, without adding a trophy at either level.

Home games are played at the Rubin sports base on Kopylova Street, listed as the "Rubin" stadium with a capacity of 10,000. Since 2024 the old main arena there has been demolished for reconstruction, and matches have continued on the base's other pitches while the work goes on.

The kit follows the men's team down to the shade — ruby as the main colour, green for away games, white as the alternate — and there is no separate crest, just the badge Rubin's men wear. The women's team has no site of its own either, run instead as a section of the main club's page.

The club started the 2026 season in 7th place in the Superleague.
