Yenisey Women

It began with students. A women's side took shape at the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical Institute in the autumn of 1987, under the name Metodika, and the institute stayed the starting point of everything that followed. Two years on it was playing as Sibiryachka, and it kept that name, with gaps, for the better part of two decades.

Under it came the thing the club is still measured by. Sibiryachka won the Cup of the USSR in 1991 — the only side from the Asian part of the country ever to take that trophy. The semi-finals of the Russian Cup came three times in the 1990s, and a bronze medal in the 1995 championship.

The Yenisey name arrived in 2011, when the team was folded into the FC Yenisey structure and took the parent club's red-and-blue and its emblem. Promotion followed the First Division title of 2014, and from the return to the top flight in 2017 the league table settled into something close to a fixed point: seventh in 2017, seventh again in every season through 2021.

In 2019 the club signed Gladys Tatiana Evodo Ekogo from Cameroon. Trips to Novosibirsk to face Sibir are the fixtures the region marks down as the Siberian Derby, though the women's side has never had a derby with a name of its own.
