Benjamín Rollheiser

Benjamín Rollheiser came through River Plate's academy after joining the club at 14, working his way up through the youth ranks before his first-team debut in the Argentine Cup against Gimnasia de Mendoza. He was still part of the squad when River Plate won the Argentine championship in 2018/19, and he later added the Trofeo de Campeones with the club in 2021.

A move away from River Plate in 2022 changed the trajectory of his career. He joined Estudiantes de La Plata on a free transfer and, wearing the number 10 shirt, established himself as one of the team's key players. Over a year and a half he made 57 appearances and scored 12 goals, form that also brought him the Argentine Cup in 2023.

That run of performances took him to Europe in January 2024, when Benfica paid in the region of nine to ten million euros for him. In Lisbon he added a Portuguese Cup winner's medal in the 2023/24 season, though his time at the club proved relatively short.

In February 2025 he moved again, this time to Brazil, as Santos paid around eleven million euros for 85% of his economic rights and signed him to a contract running to 2028. He plays as an attacking midfielder and winger, favours his left foot, and wears number 32 for the club. He has also represented Argentina at under-17 and under-23 level, with five caps between the two age groups.
