Eduardo Sasha

Eduardo Sasha made his name in Porto Alegre, coming through at Internacional and staying there for most of a decade, a spell that yielded four Campeonato Gaúcho titles. A loan to Goiás in between added a Série B crown and a regional title of his own, evidence early on that he could deliver on smaller stages as well as big ones.

The move that reshaped his career came at Atlético Mineiro, where he arrived in August 2020 for a reported €1.5 million. It paid off within a year: Sasha was part of the squad that won the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and the Copa do Brasil in 2021, a double that stands as the high point of his career so far. Three Campeonato Mineiro titles and a Supercopa do Brasil followed, making his three years in Belo Horizonte the most decorated of his career.

Santos, by contrast, ended badly. His contract there was terminated in 2020 after unpaid wages, a spell that produced little to remember him by.

He joined RB Bragantino in March 2023, and the club evidently rates him: in January 2025, with over two years still left on his existing deal, they extended his contract through to the end of 2027. He wears the number 8 shirt and leads the line at 173cm, unusual proportions for a centre-forward, though his goal return across his career — 58 in 287 league appearances — suggests the height has rarely been the point.

International recognition never quite arrived. Sasha was called up to the Brazil squad in 2014 but has yet to make an official appearance for the national team.
