Gustavo Neves

Gustavo Neves came through Goiás's academy before Red Bull Bragantino signed him in 2021, and it was in the club's under-20 side that he left his first mark: in 2022 he scored the goal that opened Bragantino's account in the history of the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. He made his first-team debut in January 2023 in the Campeonato Paulista against São Bernardo, then stepped up to Série A that April against Cuiabá.

Since then he has become one of the more durable presences in Bragantino's midfield without ever quite nailing down a fixed starting berth. He has featured in the Copa Libertadores and, across three separate campaigns, in the Copa Sudamericana, where his most productive spell has been the 2026/2027 edition: a goal and two assists in six appearances. His Série A minutes have followed a similar pattern of squad involvement rather than an undisputed starting role, with 27 league appearances in 2024/2025 and 17 the following season, plus a goal in the Copa do Brasil in 2024.

The clearest marker of his standing at the club came in May 2025, when he became the first Bragantino academy graduate to reach 100 appearances for the professional side, a landmark he used to address the club's supporters directly. In the current campaign he has continued in that role, with 16 appearances, a goal and two assists so far, still pushing to establish himself as a fixture in the starting eleven rather than a squad option.
