Quibdó gave Colombian football several forwards who left home young, and Henry Mosquera's route followed the same pattern: local football with Los Papeticos before a move to Medellín at 19 to join CD La Mazzia, a step that took him out of the Chocó department and into the country's football mainstream.

The professional break came at Envigado. He signed his first contract on 27 December 2021 and made his debut on 20 January 2022, a gap of just over three weeks between paperwork and pitch. He spent two seasons there before a Brazilian club came calling.

Red Bull Bragantino announced the signing on 30 March 2023, and Mosquera put pen to paper two days later on a five-year deal, a commitment that suggested a club building around him rather than testing him. The move took him from Colombian football to Brazil's Série A at 21.

He has since been capped by Colombia, with his involvement dating to 2023. He has yet to score for the national side.

Henry Mosquera plays as a left winger, and his path from a Medellín academy side to a five-year contract in Brazil within roughly two years marks him as a player whose progress has, so far, kept moving in one direction.
