Jonnathan Gabriel Mina Jara

Jonnathan Mina has rarely stayed anywhere long enough to settle.

The most productive stretch of that run came at San Francisco, where two seasons produced 53 appearances and nine goals. Loja brought a harder lesson: the club was relegated during his time there. Gualaceo and Delfín followed, the latter bringing continental football via the Copa Libertadores.

It was at Aucas, joining as a free agent, that Mina found his most settled footing. Across two seasons he made 71 appearances, and while his own scoring stayed modest at one goal, he supplied 12 assists.

January 2026 took him to Barcelona SC , where his stay proved brief: 13 matches split between the league and the Libertadores before he moved on again in July, returning to Universidad Católica, a club he had already passed through once before, on a free transfer. Three appearances have followed there so far.

A left-footed defender by trade, Mina has built his reputation less on any single moment than on adaptability.
