Joaquín Zeballos Machado

The 2018 season in Uruguay's Segunda División Profesional gave Joaquín Zeballos Machado the numbers that opened doors: twelve goals, top scorer in the division, and promotion for Juventud Las Piedras. In the Primera División the following year he scored 19 goals and added four assists in 36 matches.

In March 2020 he signed for Girona. Loaned straight to Barcelona B for the 2020–21 season, he made 13 appearances and did not score; back at Girona, he managed six first-team appearances and again no goals. By August 2021 he was home, joining Montevideo City Torque.

The years that followed were spent largely elsewhere. Torque loaned him back to Deportivo Maldonado in 2022 — 11 appearances, one goal — and then to Santiago Wanderers in 2023, where he played 24 matches and scored five. He returned to Torque for the 2024 season before moving to River Plate Montevideo later that year, making 12 appearances and scoring once.

Deportivo Maldonado is where it started. He came through the club's youth academy and joined the senior side in 2014, playing 48 matches and scoring 10 goals over three seasons before a 2017 spell at Sportivo Huracán brought seven goals in 27 appearances.

He signed for Montevideo Wanderers in 2025. Zeballos has no recorded caps for Uruguay at senior or youth level, and the fees for his moves — including the transfer to Girona — have not been made public.
