Jusuf Gazibegović

Jusuf Gazibegović signed for Sturm Graz as a free agent in September 2020. The move cost the club nothing and turned into one of its better pieces of business: within four years the right-back had made himself a fixture in defence, reaching a century of appearances for Sturm in April 2023 and staying involved as the side won the Austrian championship and back-to-back domestic cups in 2022/23 and 2023/24. His first senior goal, a 95th-minute strike against Ried in February 2021, and a Champions League debut against Brest in September 2024 marked the two ends of that spell.

The form at Sturm earned him a move to Cologne in January 2025, reported at around €2 million — a genuine step up in level after five years in Austria. The timing worked in his favour: Cologne won promotion back to the Bundesliga that season. It worked against him too. A syndesmosis injury to his ankle in March 2025 ended his campaign early, and he managed only twelve appearances for the club, the great majority of them in the second division rather than the top flight he had just helped secure.

Cologne sent him back to Sturm Graz on loan for 2025/26, where he added eleven league appearances before a further loan, to Widzew Łódź in Poland, took him into the 2026/27 Ekstraklasa season. He remains under contract to Cologne. For Bosnia and Herzegovina, Gazibegović made his debut against Montenegro in June 2021 and has gone on to collect caps steadily, having come through the country's junior sides at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level.
