Marcelinho Braz

Marcelinho Braz's route into professional football began at Cruzeiro, where he joined the academy in 2018 before moving on to Ponte Preta a year later. He spent three seasons there, developing as an attacking midfielder, before Red Bull Bragantino brought him into its youth setup in 2022.

The transfer marked the start of a longer apprenticeship rather than an immediate step up. Across 2023 and 2024, Braz played for Bragantino's second team, appearing in 20 matches and scoring once. It was in that spell that some data providers listed his club as "Red Bull Brasil" — a naming holdover from a side that had ceased to exist as a separate entity back in 2019, its reserve structure by then folded into and renamed Red Bull Bragantino II.

Braz's first-team debut for Red Bull Bragantino came on 6 August 2025. Earlier that year, he had also featured for the club's youth side in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, playing in the last-16 tie against Grêmio — a tournament ultimately won by São Paulo. In 2026, he took part in a Copa Sudamericana fixture against Blooming, on 17 April, in which he provided an assist.

He wears the number 57 shirt and plays left-footed. There is no record to date of a call-up to any Brazil national team, at youth or senior level, nor of individual honours or titles at senior club level.
