Matheus Pereira da Silva

Matheus Pereira da Silva came through the Corinthians academy, joining the club's youth ranks as a boy from São Paulo before breaking into the first team in 2015, the season Corinthians won the Brazilian championship. His move abroad followed quickly: Empoli signed him in 2016, and within a year Juventus took him on, part of an arrangement built around the Italian club's quota for non-resident players.

He spent three seasons at Juventus without cementing a place in the senior side, then moved on loan to Barcelona's B team in 2020, a deal struck as part of an exchange involving Alejandro Marqués. Two years in Catalonia gave way to a longer spell in Spain, this time at Eibar, where he stayed from 2022 to 2025. He then returned to Brazil with Fortaleza, and in 2026 lifted the Brazilian Super Cup with that club.

That trophy set up his return to where it all began. Corinthians brought him back on loan from Fortaleza for the 2026 season, a deal worth 1.8 million Brazilian reais with a purchase option attached. He now wears the number 23 shirt for the club that first developed him.

At international level, Matheus represented Brazil at under-17 level, making eight appearances during the 2015 campaign that ended in South American U-17 championship success. He has not featured for the senior national team.
