About the player
He moved from Pro Sesto into Juventus's system in 2018, then continued at Torino from 2020, mostly turning out for the Primavera side rather than the first team.
The breakthrough came only after he left Italy. Sava joined CFR Cluj in January 2022 and, within a year, had taken over as first-choice goalkeeper. He reached the final of the Romanian Super Cup with the club that year, though CFR Cluj lost 1-2 to Sepsi. Romania's professional football league named him the country's best under-21 player for the 2023/24 season.
Udinese signed him from CFR Cluj in August 2024 for a fee reported around €2.5 million, with add-ons that could have pushed the deal beyond €3.5 million.
He received his first call-up to Romania's squad in May 2024, named as a reserve goalkeeper for the Euro 2024 finals, though he did not play.
