Jaguares de Chiapas

These days Jaguares play in the Liga Premier Serie A, Mexico's third tier. The current side dates only to 2024, rebuilt from scratch after the previous franchise collapsed under unpaid debts in 2017.

The identity itself is older than the club now carrying it. A Liga MX franchise moved from Veracruz to Tuxtla Gutiérrez in 2002 and took the Jaguares name; when that operation was sold and relocated to Querétaro in 2013, a separate San Luis franchise landed in the same city.

Salvador Cabañas remains the reference point from the Liga MX years, still the club's all-time top scorer with 59 goals.

Home games are still played at the Estadio Víctor Manuel Reyna, and the Clásico Chiapaneco against Cafetaleros de Chiapas remains the one fixture that draws attention regardless of division.
