«Sirens»
The Sirens go into the USL W League as division champions already, an 8-1-1 record in the NorCal Division of the Western Conference in 2026 carrying them straight into the Conference Semi-finals.
Monterey Bay FC Women exists because the men's side, Monterey Bay FC of the USL Championship, wanted a women's team to sit alongside it. The club was set up on 27 January 2026, went out under the placeholder name Monterey Bay FC W, and only became the Sirens on 28 March, a name pulled from the sea creature of Greek myth as a nod to the club's setting on the coast in Seaside, California. The men's side answers to the Kelpies.
They share Cardinale Stadium, on the campus of California State University, Monterey Bay, with the men's team — an AstroTurf ground holding 6,000. Before the Sirens carried that name, goalkeeper Jenna Moran had already been named to the USL W League's Team of the Month for June 2024, playing for the side in an earlier phase of the project.
