OSE Lions

Eric Washington needed one shot. On 1 February 2020, with the buzzer close, he sent in a three-pointer that beat the defending champion Falco KC Szombathely 87–84.

The name Lions comes straight from the town: Oroszlány means "lion" in Hungarian. The club itself is a second start. Its predecessor, Oroszlányi Bányász, had taken silver in the top flight in 1989, only for the federation to dissolve it months later because its hall failed to meet playoff standards and the team would not agree to play its home games elsewhere. Former players and local enthusiasts founded OSE on 6 June 1990.

What followed was patience rather than glory. For close to twenty-five years OSE sat in the lower tiers before the club finally won its way into the second tier in 2014. The breakthrough came in 2018–19: an NB I/B title sealed with a 103–74 home win over HOYA-Pannon Egyetem Veszprém in the deciding leg, and promotion to the top division, NB I/A, for the first time since the old club's dissolution.

Among the current squad, Ruják András is the one who has simply stayed.
