The 1983 National Soccer League title arrived a season after the club had come up short, beaten to the championship by Marconi Fairfield in 1982. Frank Arok's name is still on the grandstand at Barton Park.

Budapest was not a flourish. Hungarian immigrants started the club in 1957 and called it Budapest Soccer Club, and it played under that name until 1965, when St George was added to say where in Sydney it actually stood. The Budapest half was dropped later.

What the U20 side inherits is a ground that no longer resembles the one those teams played on. The Frank Arok Grandstand carries 450 seats.

Recent honours have come from elsewhere in the club: the NSW State League Division One in 2013, and the women's team taking NPL League One in 2023.
