The under-20s at Sydney Olympic play in the youth tier that runs alongside the senior side in the National Premier Leagues NSW. The club has run a youth programme for decades, and Labinot Haliti came through it into the first team.

The closest they came was 2008, when the youth side reached the grand final and lost 2–0 to Marconi Stallions.

The club began in 1957 as the Pan-Hellenic Soccer Club, built by Greek-Australian migrants in Sydney, and the nickname Panellinios has stayed alongside Olympic Blues.

The seniors won the NSL Championship in 1990 and again in 2002, beating Perth Glory 1–0 in the second of them, and took the NPL NSW premiership in 2018 with a 3–1 win over APIA Leichhardt.
