Tuv Azarganuud

The badge has changed twice in under a decade, and each change turned away from the animal that gave the club its first identity. When the Tuv provincial government set the side up in 2018, it was named Tuv Buganuud — the Deer — a name that echoed Tengeriin Bugnuud, the club that once dominated Mongolian football under a strikingly similar title.

The climb through the divisions was patient rather than dramatic. Eighth place in the Second Division in 2019 became fourth a year later, then a runner-up finish in 2021 that carried the side into a promotion play-off it won, taking it into the Mongolian Premier League for the first time. Fifth place followed in three straight top-flight campaigns. The one trophy on the shelf came earlier, in 2022, when the club, still known as Tuv Buganuud, won the MFF Cup.

This season has pushed the club further than any before it: second place at the winter break, secured only after survival itself was briefly in doubt — a two-legged relegation play-off against Ulaangom City FC settled 15-0. That form carried the club into the qualifying rounds of the AFC Challenge League for 2026–27, with a match against Tainan City of Taiwan set for 11 August 2026. Captain Tsend-Ayuush Khurelbaatar, on international duty since 2007, leads a squad now under Bayasgalangiin Garidmagnai, who took the job for 2025–26 after two years in charge of the Mongolia national team.

Home games are played at the MFF Football Centre in Ulaanbaatar, the Mongolian Football Federation's own training base rather than a ground the club built for itself, with room for 5,000 spectators.
