Deren

On 11 March 2022, Deren beat Athletic 220 FC 2–0 in the Mongolian Super Cup. Athletic 220 were the reigning league champions, and the goals came from Baatar Usukh-Ireedui and Pavel Zakharov. It was the club's first senior trophy, and it arrived a few months after Deren had finished the 2021 league season as runners-up under the Portuguese coach Paulo Jorge Silva.

Deren did not start as a team for winning cups. When it was set up in 2008 in Ulaanbaatar, it was a youth academy whose stated job was to produce players for the national side. The nickname "The Nationals' Team" comes from that work, because the academy's graduates have kept turning up in the Mongolia squad. Gandelger Ganbold joined in 2015 after time in Tottenham Hotspur's academy, and at 19 he became the youngest player ever called up to the senior national team. Orkhon Munkh-Orgil, a defender, was named in the 2021 League XI and won the Golden Ball for best defender.

The step up to the top flight came in 2015, and the first season ended in 7th place. The next two were better, 5th in 2016 and 4th in 2017. Two years earlier, the parent company, Deren Naran LLC, had renovated the MFF Football Centre with a Dutch partner, and the 5,000-seat ground has been the club's base since.

The Super Cup was followed by more second places. Deren finished runners-up again in 2022–23 and third in 2023–24. In 2021 the club also received the Presidential Award for Contributions to Mongolian Football. Its games with FC Ulaanbaatar and Khaan Khuns-Erchim make up the Ulaanbaatar derby.

Deren finished third in 2025–26. The club has not been champion.
