Deren moved clear at the top of the Premier League with a 5-0 victory away to Ulaanbaatar City in the third round of the regular season on Saturday 20 September 2026. The visitors ran out comfortable winners at a ground where the hosts had lost all three of their opening matches.
M. Enkhbayar opened the scoring in the eighth minute, a quick strike that set the tone for what followed. By then the visitors had already shown they were not interested in playing for a draw. Ulaanbaatar City had nothing to do all evening from that moment on.
And here's the thing about the twenty-second minute. A. Purevsuren doubled the lead, a goal that felt inevitable rather than surprising. The visitors had changed shape at the break, or perhaps not even waited that long, and the hosts were paying for it.
B. Myagmar added a third in the thirty-second minute. Three goals in thirty-two minutes meant the tie was effectively over before the half-time whistle. To be fair, Ulaanbaatar City had been outplayed from the first whistle.
T. Khuyagtbaatar made it four in the thirty-eighth minute, and then Enkhbayar completed his brace in the thirty-ninth. Five goals, two in two minutes, and the hosts were left picking up pieces. The captain dragged them through it, but even he could not prevent the rout.
Deren sit top of the table with seven points from three games, two wins and a draw. Ulaanbaatar City remain ninth with zero points from three defeats. The gap at the top is now seven points, and Deren have opened talks about maintaining momentum.
