Vojislav Braljušić won the league in 2022/23 and followed it with the Mongolia Cup a few months later — a 4-0 defeat of Khoromkhon in the final.
That first title, in 2011, had come the year after the club itself was founded, in 2010, based at the Mongolian Football Federation's own ground, the MFF Football Centre. The association rebuilt the stadium in 2013, raising capacity from 3,500 to 5,000. Home colours are red shirts with white shorts and socks, the away kit white with blue shorts and black socks — the red giving the club its nickname, the Red Knights.
Between the two titles came a string of near misses: runner-up finishes in 2018, 2020 and 2021/22, usually with Khaan Khuns-Erchim occupying first place instead. The two clubs have contested most of Mongolia's recent title races.
An Italian head coach, in charge from 2018 to 2019, became the first in the club's history to hold a UEFA Pro licence. Mototi Keshi led the line through that period, ranking among the league's top scorers in 2017.
Ganbat, back for a second spell since 2025, was in the dugout as the club won the 2025/26 championship, with Khaan Khuns-Erchim again finishing closest behind.
