Luchan moved to the summit of Primera C after edging past Lugano 2-1 in the 24th round of the Regular Season on Saturday evening. The visitors completed a second-half turnaround to secure three points away from home, with two goals in quick succession proving decisive.
Lugano had taken the lead through T. Dopazo in the 27th minute, but the hosts never built on that advantage. Luchan responded when T. Cagliari struck in the 79th minute, before F. Rojas sealed the victory with a third goal just two minutes later in the 81st minute.
The match had been a tight affair for the first three-quarters of the contest. Lugano controlled the tempo and territory, yet couldn't find a second breakthrough. By then the visitors had sat deep and soaked it up, waiting for their moment. The final minutes came to a head as Lugano threw everything at it, but Luchan held firm to claim the win.
