The **Coppa Italia** (Italian Ice Hockey Cup) is the premier domestic cup competition for ice hockey in Italy. It is organized by the Federazione Italiana Sport del Ghiaccio (FISG). The tournament follows a knockout structure, distinct from the regular season league, and serves as a secondary national title.
For the current campaign, the competition involves four teams from the Italian Hockey League (IHL). These participants are SV Kaltern-Caldaro, HC Alleghe, HC Eppan/Appiano, and HC Varese. The event is structured as a "Final Four" staged at a neutral venue. Matches consist of single-leg semi-finals followed by a final. If a game remains tied after regular time, it proceeds to 3-on-3 overtime and, if necessary, a shootout.
The tournament was established in the 1972–1973 season. SG Cortina claimed the inaugural edition. The competition has seen periods of irregular scheduling, with a notable gap between 1974 and 1991. Since the early 2000s, it has operated as an annual fixture.
Several clubs share the record for the most victories, each securing three titles. These include SG Cortina, HC Bolzano, Asiago Hockey, HC Milano Vipers, and Ritten-Renon. The most recent champion is SV Kaltern-Caldaro, who defeated HC Alleghe 5–0 in the 2025–2026 final. HC Feltreghiaccio won the previous edition in 2024–25.
A separate annual match, the Supercoppa Italiana, is contested between the IHL champion and the Coppa Italia winner from the preceding season. This cup competition sits below the top-tier league in the national pyramid hierarchy.
