Alleghe

Hockey in Alleghe dates back to a club formed in 1933. The name has not always stayed the same: in 1956 the club was dissolved and reformed as HC Monte Civetta Alleghe, only reverting to HC Alleghe in 1959. The players carry that mountain identity in their nicknames, I Biancorossi and Le Civette.

The single biggest night in the club's history came in 1992–93, when Alleghe won the Alpenliga. Serie A itself has stayed just out of reach: two runner-up finishes, in 1984–85 against Bolzano and in 2001–02 against Vipers Milano, mark the closest the men's team has come to the domestic summit. The women's section has done what the men could not, taking the Italian Championship in 2018–19.

Cup football has its own rules, and Alleghe have learned them the hard way — four Italian Cup finals reached, four lost, from 1990–91 against Asiago through to 2025–26 against Caldaro. Promotion and consolidation at the lower levels have come more easily: four Serie B titles and two in Serie C over the decades.

The fixture that matters most in the valley is against SG Cortina, simply "the derby," with the Derby Bellunese against Feltre running it close. Among those who have worn the red and white, Diego Iori now captains the side, while Jason Holland, a defenceman with NHL experience, spent the 2004–05 season at the club during the lockout year.

Home games are played in front of a crowd capped at 2,500.
