Cedar Rapids defeated Sioux City Musketeers 4:2 in a CSHL match on 18 September 2026. The result extends the visitors' perfect start to the season, while the hosts suffer a second defeat in as many games. To be fair, both sides have now played three matches each.
Cedar Rapids remain top of the table after this victory. Sioux City sit third following their loss. The standings show both teams with zero points despite having completed matches, suggesting the points system operates differently this season. And here's the thing — the table doesn't tell the full story yet.
The Musketeers had opened with an 8:3 victory over Green Bay Gamblers on 16 September before losing 2:3 to Fargo Force. Cedar Rapids came in with a 3:0 win against Fargo Force on 17 September. By then, both teams had found form, though in different ways.
This result means Cedar Rapids hold a two-game winning streak while Sioux City's record now stands at one win and two losses. The visitors will look to maintain their position at the summit, while the hosts face questions about consistency.
