Glasgow Warriors — Connacht: 36:19, United Rugby Championship

Glasgow Warriors beat Connacht 36-19 in the United Rugby Championship on 9 October 2026. The hosts moved to five points clear after their second game of the campaign. Connacht dropped further down the table with their first defeat of the season.

Glasgow sit fifth with eight points from two matches, a win and a draw keeping them unbeaten. Connacht remain tenth on five points after a victory over Benetton followed by this loss. The gap between them widens to three points in the standings.

Glasgow came into this fixture after drawing 33-33 with Ulster on 3 October. They had beaten Munster 26-20 the week before and faced Connacht previously on 29 May, winning 33-21. Connacht's last outing was a 22-19 victory over Benetton on 2 October before losing 15-29 to Stormers.

We had called for a home win with seventy percent confidence, and that projection held up. And here's the thing — Glasgow's attack found rhythm early and never looked back. The scoreline reflected their superiority throughout.

The result extends Glasgow's unbeaten run to two matches. Connacht must now regroup after their first loss of the campaign. The table separates them further, and both teams will need to adjust their approach.
