Glasgow Warriors

Scotstoun has 4,765 permanent seats. The rest of the capacity is temporary: stands added for bigger days lift it to 7,351, and the full rugby configuration reaches 9,708.

The side that fills it began in 1872 as Glasgow District. Professionalism arrived in 1996 under the name Glasgow Rugby. Two years later the Scottish Rugby Union, short of money, merged the team with the Caledonia Reds to form Glasgow Caledonians. The "Caledonians" label went in 2001, and "Warriors" became the official name in 2005–06.

The first league title came in 2014–15, when Glasgow beat Munster 31–13 in the Pro12 final under Gregor Townsend. It took until 2023–24 for a second, this time in the United Rugby Championship, with a 21–16 win over the Vodacom Bulls under Franco Smith. Between the two came a European Challenge Cup final in 2022–23, which Toulon won 43–19.

The rivalry that matters most is with Edinburgh Rugby. The two contest the 1872 Cup, regarded as the oldest club derby in the world.

Rob Harley has played more for Glasgow than anyone else, 267 caps.
