Vidéoton lost 1:2 to Mezőkövesd-Zsóry in the fifth match of the Hungarian Second League regular season on Saturday. D. Zsoter's brace put the hosts ahead before the visitors clawed their way back to take all three points.
Zsoter struck twice in quick succession, opening the scoring in the thirty-first minute and adding a second immediately after. Vidéoton led 2:1 at half-time thanks to P. Zachan's reply in the forty-fifth minute plus one, a goal that kept his side in it before the break.
The match turned on the arrivals of the disciplinary book. Z. Varjas saw red in the seventy-second minute, then received a second dismissal a minute later. Vidéoton were reduced to ten men and could not recover from that blow.
Mezőkövesd-Zsóry took advantage. B. Rab found the net in the ninetieth minute plus one to seal the victory, while the hosts made four substitutions in the sixty-eighth minute in a futile attempt to restore parity.
The result moves Mezőkövesd-Zsóry into eighth place on nine points from five games, while Vidéoton remain tenth on six points from six matches. The visitors are unbeaten in five, and the home side's losses are beginning to tell.
