Al Anwar

Promotion came to Hotat Bani Tamim in the spring of 2025, when Al-Anwar finished top of Division 2, Saudi football's third tier. Again, because the club had been there before, and above it: Saudipedia credits Al-Anwar with two Division 1 titles, the first in 1985/86, the second fourteen years later in 1999/2000. Between that second title and the 2025 promotion lie the years the club spent working its way back up.

The town it plays in sits in the Riyadh province, and the club has never moved from it. It was founded in 1976 — 1396 in the Hijri calendar — and the address has stayed the same ever since.

What changed was the ground. It holds 8,000.

The club keeps an account on X, @alanwarclub, and little else in the way of an online presence. The Al-Anwar Club Stadium and the town around it remain the whole of the operation.
