Two names are new in the first-team squad for 2026–27: Zeynep Doğa Alpay and Sude Kale, both promoted from the academy. Beşiktaş bring them into the Sultanlar Ligi, the Turkish top flight, where the club has played since the 1992–93 season. Academy graduates such as Cansu Aydınoğulları and Bengisu Aygün have already worn the senior shirt. Home games are at the 3,200-seat Akatlar Arena.

The branch has had two lives. Tülin Uygur founded it in 1961, and it entered the Istanbul league for 1961–62. It won the Turkish championship in 1965 and the federation cup a year later. It then stopped operating in the mid-1970s. When it was re-established in 1986, it started again in the lower divisions and needed six years to reach the top tier.

The results after that came close without arriving. Beşiktaş finished second in the Sultanlar Ligi in 1995–96 and 1996–97, and again in 2003–04. They also reached the Turkish Cup final in 1996. The Women's Balkan Volleyball Cup came in 2008, 2009, 2013 and 2018. In 2014 they reached the CEV Challenge Cup final.

Their two Istanbul neighbours set the measure. Matches against Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray are known as the "File Derbisi", the Net Derby. Fenerbahçe in particular held the head-to-head record for years.

Of the honours above, the Sultanlar Ligi title is not one. The three second-place finishes are the closest the club has come to it.
