The nearest rivals are on the club's own doorstep: Talence Volley, and JSA Bordeaux Volley, whose women's section was one of two folded together in 2013 to form Bordeaux-Mérignac Volley. The other was SA Mérignac.

The first trophy came in 2014, when the new side won the Nationale 2 title. Then came a longer wait. In February 2016 the club moved into the Palais des Sports de Bordeaux, a hall of about 2,700 seats, and played its first match there on 13 February.

In 2023 Les Burdis won the Amateur French Cup and finished second in the Élite Championship. In 2024 the two swapped places: they won the Élite Championship through the Poule Access and lost the Amateur Cup final.

The 2024-25 squad was assembled from several countries. Eva Svobodová came from the Czech Republic, and Anna Janelle, born in Bordeaux, played alongside her.

That season was spent in Ligue A, the top division. Levallois Paris knocked the club out in the quarter-finals of the play-offs.
