A men's volleyball club from Hveragerði beat KA Akureyri to lift the Icelandic Super Cup. Hamar's volleyball section, formed in 1993 within the wider Hveragerði sports club founded a year earlier, has been active since then. Between the 2020–21 and 2023–24 seasons it won the Úrvalsdeild karla three times and the national cup all four years running, adding the Meistarameistarar title in both 2021 and 2022.

Home games are played at the Hveragerði Sports Hall, which holds 240 people. KA Akureyri and Vestri have supplied the closest competition, without either rivalry acquiring a name of its own.

The roster behind the titles leaned heavily on imported talent, with several Polish players filling key rotation spots, but the squad's identity ran through two brothers. Kristján and Hafsteinn Valdimarsson, both middle blockers, anchored the side through the championship years.
