Horde Women

The furthest TV Hörde's women have reached in the current spell came in 2024, when the team took the 2. Bundesliga Nord and moved up a level, a climb built one promotion at a time: Regionalliga West in 2018, then 3. Liga West a year later. That run traces back to a department founded within TV Hörde 1861 e. V. on 11 May 1964, in the Hörde district of Dortmund, and it is not the club's first taste of the top flight. In the 1980s the women played in the 1. Bundesliga. The club counts more than 30 players who have gone on to full international caps since 1964.

Home games are played at the Sporthalle Phoenix-Gymnasium. Red and white are the club's colours.

The climb up the divisions has not settled into anything lasting. In September 2026 the club chose to step back down to the 2. Bundesliga Nord for the coming season, citing financial and organisational strain.
