Berlin Women

The 2. Bundesliga North title in 2013/14 sent VC Olympia Berlin back up to the German top flight.

That was the point of VCO from the start. Founded in 1993, it spent much of its history as Berlin's Bundesstützpunkt for the German Volleyball Association, the training base where youth national-team players got their court time, often under special playing rights that let junior internationals feature in senior fixtures. Anja-Nadin Pietrek came through this route, starting there before moving on to the German national team.

Home matches were played at the Dynamo-Sporthalle inside the Sportforum Berlin, a hall holding around 1,800, and it was there that the club met its closest rival, Berlin Recycling Volleys, in fixtures known locally as the Berlin Derby.

After the 2024/25 season in the 2. Bundesliga North, a squad that included setters Romy Birnbaum and Gesa Brandstrup under coach Justin Wolff, the department was dissolved. The men's team at VCO continues.
