That semi-final run in the CEV Cup in 2017 remains the club's furthest reach into Europe.

The team took its current name only in January 2012, when the women's side was folded into the Yenisey sports club's professional structure. Before that it had spent two decades cycling through sponsors' names — Sibiryachka at the start in 1992, then Nika, Bogur, Yeniseyushka, Metrostroy, Stroytel and Yunost.

Krasnoyarsk plays its home matches at the Ivan Yarygin Sports Palace, on Ostrov Otdykha, which holds 3,347 for volleyball, and some fixtures have gone instead to the smaller Mikhail Dvorkin Sports House across town. Against Omichka, the club's away trip to Omsk carries its own name, the Siberian Derby.

Maria Frolova, by contrast, stayed — captain across two spells running from 2011 to 2025, with a Russian national team call-up in 2017.

Beyond the region, where five Cup of Siberia and the Far East titles sit in the club's history, a national championship has stayed out of reach.
