Chalkida

Promotion to the A2 league came in 2001, and it needed a title on the way up: AGEH won the B' National League that year to move up a level.

The club traces back to 1976, when it was formed as AGE Chalkida. It took its present shape in 2010, when AGE Chalkida merged with Gymnastikos Syllogos Chalkida to become AGEH Gymnastikos. Money trouble caught up with the merged club within a few years: it folded in 2013 and stayed out of competition until 2017, when it returned to play.

Fotis Vasilopoulos is among the names still tied to the club from that era.

Home games are played at the Tasos Kampouris Kanithou Indoor Hall, a ground that holds 1,620 across 1,120 seats and a 500-capacity amphitheatre section. Across the island of Euboea, AS Karystia in Karystos remains the club's closest rival, though the fixture has never picked up a name of its own the way some island derbies do.
