Hyeres-Toulon

Every meeting with Olympique d'Antibes in Provence carries the label "derby méditerranéen."

HTV itself is a product of two towns rather than one: it took shape in 1990 when Club sportif toulonnais and Omni Sport Hyèrois merged, and shares its base between Hyères and Toulon. Yellow and navy blue have stayed the club's colours since.

The rise to the top flight came in 2001, through the Pro B playoffs, and HTV held its place there until 2012, with one further season back in the division in 2017-2018. In 2018, financial trouble cost the club its professional status outright, and it was dropped as far as Nationale 3, the fifth tier.

This season's home games are being played at the Palais des Sports Jauréguiberry in Toulon rather than the usual Espace 3000, which is closed for renovation until 2026-2027. In the Coupe de France, HTV reached the last four before losing to Le Mans Sarthe Basket 82-73, with AS Monaco going on to lift the trophy. The club now sits back in Élite 2.
