Efe Güven took charge of Nesibe Aydın in April 2024, stepping in for Erman Okerman. The club he manages carries the name of Nesibe Aydın, a Turkish sports administrator and the first Turkish woman to sit on the International Olympic Committee, and it belongs, in full, to the educational institution she lent her name to.

Lig title of 2019–20 sent Nesibe Aydın into the Women's Basketball Super League for 2020–21. The following season brought a first appearance in the EuroCup Women. In the Turkish Cup, the club has reached the semi-finals twice, in 2021–22 and 2022–23.

Home games are played at the TOBB ETÜ Sport Hall, on the university campus of the same name in Ankara, that calls the team Fırtına — the Storm.
