Alan Torterolo

Torterolo's first senior goal arrived in the 2025 Copa AUF Uruguay, in the round of 16 against Oriental.

He is a Defensor Sporting player in the fullest sense: he came up through the club's youth ranks and was promoted from within, with no transfer fee recorded for any move of his senior career. How long he spent in the academy is not documented in detail; what is on record is that the step up came in 2025, and that he took his chance in the cup soon after.

He plays on the right wing, and he is right-footed.

The international record runs alongside the club one and is longer than his senior career. Torterolo won four caps for Uruguay at under-15 level. At under-16 he played once and scored twice in that single appearance. He then made five appearances for the under-17 side, without scoring, and was in the squad for the 2025 South American Under-17 Championship. In 2026 he was named in a training camp squad for the under-20s, though as of August 2026 he had not yet been capped at that level.

He has not won a senior club title. That is the shape of the record so far: an academy graduate from Montevideo with a cup goal, a spell of youth international football behind him and the under-20 group in front of him.
